Manufacturer Approvals

What does manufacturer approval or compatibility confirmation mean?

Manufacturer approval or compatibility confirmation means that the manufacturer has reviewed, tested or confirmed the suitability of specific Eco-ESS products for use with specified products or systems within their range. The exact scope of each approval can vary, so we recommend checking the supporting documentation for details.

Do I still need to follow the manufacturers installation guidelines?

Yes. Manufacturer approval does not replace the manufacturer’s installation instructions or requirements. All equipment should be installed in accordance with the relevant manufacturer guidance, product specifications and applicable electrical standards and regulations.

Is the approval valid for all models within the manufacturers range?

Not necessarily. An approval or compatibility confirmation may apply only to specific products, models or configurations. We clearly identify the models covered wherever possible, and supporting documentation should be checked before installation.

My Manufacturer isn’t listed, can I still use Eco-ESS products?

Potentially, yes. A manufacturer not being listed does not necessarily mean that Eco-ESS products are incompatible with their equipment. Our published approvals represent the manufacturers and products for which we currently hold documented approval or compatibility confirmation.
